Im giving a five star review, because the food was amazing. However, this restaurant needs to work on their staff. Our service was turtle slow, and they ran out of several different alcohols. Our server even struggled splitting our checks.

Came at a recommendation of a friend. Food was incredible, drinks were fantastic and the service was spot on. This is a really unique dining experience in Spartanburg.

First time visiting. Got a small appetizer (plantains with guacamole ) with some drinks and it was fantastic. Very chill vibe, service was on point. Definitely will be coming back

Amazing bar, definitely coming back with a bigger group. Owners were super sweet and attentive. Definitely check it out! Also food was amazing 😌

I'm from Maryland, and this was my first time at El Toro, definitely I highly recommend this speakeasy bar, the atmosphere is amazing, they even have salsa contests witch made the place even more attractive. Natalia and the rest of the staff are really, really amazing, they were all the time asking us if we were needed something else, or if we're good, they never stop serving us!!!! I really recommend it. Of course I'm coming back next year!!!!

Came in for a quick bite and drink and was not disappointed. Beer was cold and the Columbian jumbo empanada was fantastic. Served with guac and two sauces. I'll absolutely be ordering them next time we come back, along with other things to try.

My husband and I stopped by for an after dinner drink. Friendly wait staff and beautiful atmosphere. The drink menu was very unique and had authentic drinks from S. America. The bartender explained all of the ingredients to me. I got the El Shaman, a drink native of Ecuador. It was delicious and came in a fun glass. Good music with a DJ. They are open late night on Fri and Sat. We will definitely be back to try the food.

Bar Del Toro is the newest gem in downtown Spartanburg, and it’s already a must-visit. Owned by the same team behind Fratellos, they’ve brought their signature quality and style into a fresh, modern concept with a speakeasy vibe. We tried the guacamole and sliders—both were excellent. The guacamole was fresh and full of flavor, while the sliders were juicy, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is what really seals the deal. Dim lighting, cozy seating, great music, and that cool speakeasy feel make it the perfect spot to relax, unwind, or impress a date. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Bar Del Torro is a fantastic new addition to Spartanburg’s food and drink scene, and we’ll definitely be back.

What a fantastic hidden gem in downtown Spartanburg! It’s a South American speakeasy restaurant/bar that you don’t want to miss! Excellent service with a smile (Angel was our waiter and he was amazing) - food was to die for, drinks were better than expected, and the atmosphere and music are just perfect. Great for a date night or a night with friends/family. Spartanburg NEEDED this place!
